Andelst
In 1980; at that moment living in Andelst Wim and Maurice had the first contacts with local pigeon fanciers. The first starters were a fact. You will be able to find some of these starters in the pedigree of the current ace pigeons, so the pigeons they were given at the start were dead on target. A lightning start in 1991 with a first price and the second price on the first two races increased the eager for fame and victories. During 1984 till 1987 searches for cracks in the region were finalized by buying them and together with two excellent breeding females the recipe for top results and races with a tremendous superiority was there. Moving to Tiel in 1985 appeared not to have a negative impact on the results of the loft as in 1986 the racing team was able to finish first 4! times in the LCF Teysterbant; counting 500 members.

Cor Buis
The search for even better pigeons was continued by a trip to Aalsmeer during the year 1990. Cor Buis (in the beginning of the eighties racing under the name Buis-Snoek- Aalsmeer) was the person Maurice had closely been following his results for many years. During autumn the first top pigeons came to Tiel. These youngsters were bred during the summer. This was after a tremendous racing season of Cor Buis . The last race of the season: St. Ghislain Hornu, 5.868 pigeons at the finish you could find pigeons of Cor Buis at places 1-2-3-4-16-18-24-32-33 etc

Within short notice it was proven that the investments were worthwhile or better dead on target. The Tornado NL 91-1771991 claimed the victory in the LCF Teysterbant at Houdeng against 5.565 pigeons. During 1991 a couple of visits were paid to Cor Buis. Besides good advice children of several ace pigeons and top breeders like: "3333", "Belg 340", "De Generaal", "Dure Koppel" , etc. went to the Papesteeg in Tiel. During 1992 another trip to the Aalsmeerderweg in Aalsmeer was made and children of the "Kleine Belg" and the "Belg 374" came to Tiel. Last investments were done at the total sale by auction of Cor Buis from Aalsmeer. Now both Wim and Maurice were convinced of the quality and exceptional results these pigeons could deliver, for several thousands of guilders the absolute top and ace pigeons were bought. The NL 87-2542221 a daughter of Het Jong Koppel of Peer van Gompel and she herself is a mother of a number of ace pigeons in Aalsmeer moved together with one of her daughters viz. the NL 92-2668313 which won two times the 2nd price in Afdeling Amsterdam!! to Tiel. Also a son of "De Kleine Belg 376" and a daugther of "De Generaal" came to Tiel. During 1992 ace pigeons of Ger Hamers from Heiloo and Steef Duin from Heemskerk were added to the Van der Kruk lofts in Tiel.

Starting over again
Plans for 1995 were positive until Wim in September 1994 had to go into the hospital for a right away surgery on his hips. Together with Maurice s decision to leave the house and his very occupied business a difficult decision was made based on the fact that the time and energy to compete at the highest level is not there comming years, keeping in mind the great plans for the near future the die is cast: Total sale by auction. All breeding and racing pigeons were brought in good shape to the auction, but the result was not as expected and 28 pigeons of 139 were not sold and had to be taken back to Tiel. With this remainder of the auction it was easy enough for Alie and Maurice to keep them during winter and to give them the care necessary. Everybody was surprised, even the family Van der Kruk, when first results of the 1995 races became common. It was as successful, no even better than, as the years before. With the ultimate result Carwinner Afdeling R at Roye against 5.639 pigeons. The number of first prices was 11 (eleven)!!

During 1995 Willem recovered pretty well from his surgery and the thread to build a winning team was taken up. Several donations were bought at exhibitions during the winter season and one of them was of the combination Admiraal-Padding from Sleeuwijk. The pigeon they received at the ticket was the NL 96 -2488605 ( Won 1st price Bourges in 1998!) and during the summer season youngsters of all top breeding pairs with the Zoontjes blood via the combination H&O from Nieuwendijk, the Louis van Loon blood via the backers Jan van Hassel and Son from Wernhout and of course the top pigeons of Jan Admiraal himself went to Tiel. Also a ticket from Ad v.d. Wiel & Daughter was changed into a youngster and a few others off of the "De Generaal" line went to Tiel. Another visit was paid to the Saya brothers in Heer.

1997 and later...
Strategy was set and everything is concentrated at all racing disciplines except for the two day long distances. In 1997 and 1998 the offspring of the of the new additions to the breeding loft were tested thoroughly and that resulted in 9! 1st prices during 1997 and 8! 1st prices in 1998. During 1998 even the Teletext at the TV was hit by the 2nd price N.P.O. Orleans old pigeons with the "Schalie Jack" and at the Derby der Junioren Orleans the 8th price N.P.O. Afdeling 7 Midden Nederland. Also the accessions at the total sale of Klinkhamer and Son from Utrecht and pigeons bought at a sale of Peter van Osch from Zutphen resulted in fabulous cross breedings. Responsible for for yearly Teletext rewards and in 1999 the 1st and 2nd Ace pigeon Young in Region 7 Midden Nederland. Of course ears and eyes are open for better pigeons or better said the hard search for better material

On the practical and beautiful garden lofts with a length of 18 meters you will find during the racing season 24 widowers en 12 hens raced on the widowhood system, separated over 4 cabins of 2 square meters to race the short distance, middle distance and one day far distance races till 700 kilometers. A number of 75 youngsters will be responsible for the rejuvenation and the top results. During the winter of 2000 contacts were made with the Fondspiegel champions father and son Boijen from Schinnen/Nuth, to become succesful on the long distance racing. This year the results of the yearlings have proven to be promising.
