History
The art of breeding
In
the already sold out bestseller of Steven van Breemen Wim and Jan van Tuil were
mentioned as being successful in everything and anything. Wim is the talented
fancier of the two brothers, having the whole day to take care of the pigeons.
In 1985 he took early retirement, but having pigeons for a leisure interest it
is not difficult to live the day. Jan takes care of the administration and all
other organizational issues coming around. The result of last years only made an
understatement of the performance that these two brothers are successful in
everything and anything. What news can we bring if you managed to win besides
all hundreds of first championships, general championships and ace pigeons over
150! of pure first prices. Winner of four cars and one car price and winner of
three national races !!!
The
hit story started in 1968 when the foundation for the fast and great successes
was laid by buying the NL68-334529 and NL68-334539, two direct sons of the
famous "06" of Joop Beumer, Arnhem.( won 6 times 1st prize) with the
"31- Kweekduif "Nic Janssen, Gronsveld.
In 1966 the two famous cock-pigeons from Gerrit van Valen , Eindhoven, viz.
"De Straaljager" and "Schone Lichte", were add to the
breeding loft which turned out to be of extraordinary value. Purchase of
NL74-358631, straight Dr Linssen daughter " Laon" seemed to be a hit
too. All these pigeons can be found in the pedigrees of the best racing pigeons
of the past and nowadays. The blood of the ancestor NL72-642457 "De
Atleet" can be found in the major part of the breeding loft.
De
Mustang , NL91-1768449, which won 54 prices and several ace pigeon titles is the
latest ancestor which is also fed with the blood of the Atleet . Also the
NL87-1650244 a son of De Wandelaar, which is a son of De 46 Verbarth has put one
stamp on the loft. A constant search for better most valuable pigeons will last
forever and most of the times ends in a disappointment. Though in 1994 Wim and
Jan were successful in buying De Weergaloze , Indurain and De Bourgesman on the
sale of W.J. van der Kruk of Tiel. During 1995, 1996 and 1998 youngsters or
grand children of the Gouden Koppel of Teun Hubregtse from Rotterdam were added
to the breeding loft.. These pigeons toghether with the Van Tuil pigeons give a
tremendous offspring!!

To
compete successfully for the title of the general championship a few races of
over 900 kilometers are part of the racing season. For this especially pigeons
of Jan Theelen from the 'Vale Marathon', 'Rode Lady', and the 'Rode Diamantje'
are brought into the loft. During 1996 children of the top pigeons of the
brothers Hagens from Achthuizen have been added to the breeding loft and the
racing loft. On a yearly basis pigeons from the breeding loft are exchanged
between the combination Van Kooten-van Bemmel from Lunteren and W.D. van Tuil.
At
the total sale of Gerritsen-Looyengoed two excellent birds were bought, like 'Sammy'
( grandchild of Schalie 20) and a brother to 'De Prins', of which children are
succesful on the racing loft.
